From Conception to Retirement: Keeping Your Horse Sound for a Lifetime Through Education

This is the launch of our new academy, which will focus on education in conformation, free jumping, working on the triangle and inspection preparation for owners, breeders, trainers and riders.

Dr. Christian Schacht is well known literally around the world. He has led rankings for several years in both Dressage and Combination in student rider divisions, including two German championships. He is an excellent lecturer and instructor who appeals to equestrians of all ages and disciplines.

Phil Silva is a professional handler, who is well known along the entire East Coast for his expertise in ground work.

Auditing fees: $25 per day
Overnight stalls at $35/day; day stalls at $10.
*Due to liability issues, professional handlers will be mandatory for the jump chute.

The Programs

Thursday and Friday, June 16-17
Ride, Critique, Ride
Ride a test, then Dr. Schacht will work with you and your horse to go over the test details, then re-ride the test. Or, if you do not want to ride a test, you can simply have a lesson.
Fee: $150 per person, 45 minute sessions.

Saturday, June 18
Conformation Clinic with Dr. Schacht and Phil Silva
Using your horse, or one of Ten Broeck Farm's, you will learn about conformation, working on the triangle and free jumping.
Fee: $110 per person.

Sunday, June 19
Qualifier for the Dressage4Kids' Youth Dressage Festival

This is a qualifier for Conformation and Handlers Classes at Lendon Gray’s Youth Dressage Festival in Saugerties, NY July 8-10 see www.dressage4kids.com for Festival details. Beginning at 8 a.m., this morning session will discuss conformation and scoring with Dr. Schacht, and then proceed to working on the triangle with Phil Silva, concluding with free jumping.
Fee: $110 per person, includes lunch
